Rolex has once again captivated watch enthusiasts at Watches and Wonders 2025, with the spotlight firmly on the debut of the Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller. However, the brand also introduced several under-the-radar releases, including a striking Pistachio-dialled Oyster Perpetual 41 and bold new dial options for iconic models like the GMT-Master II, Sky-Dweller, and Daytona.
This year’s lineup is more refined compared to previous blockbuster releases, such as last year’s 18 ct Yellow Gold Deepsea or the white gold Cosmograph Daytona priced at $98,000. Yet, the 2025 collection proves that subtlety can be just as impactful.
Oyster Perpetual Land-Dweller: A Technical Marvel
Marking Rolex’s first integrated bracelet design since the Oysterquartz, the Land-Dweller combines heritage with cutting-edge innovation. Powered by the Calibre 7135 movement with a silicon Dynapulse escapement, it boasts a 66-hour power reserve and a high-frequency 5Hz (36,000 bph) beat rate.
Enhanced durability comes from a ceramic balance staff, brass balance wheel, and Paraflex shock absorbers. Available in 40mm and 36mm sizes, it offers case options in White Rolesor, Everose Gold, and 950 Platinum, with an optional gem-set bezel.
GMT-Master II Gets a Ceramic Upgrade
The left-handed GMT-Master II now features an 18 ct white gold case paired with a striking green Cerachrom ceramic dial—matching the lower half of its bi-color bezel. Known for its scratch resistance and vibrant hues, this model is priced at AUD$75,900 and carries Rolex’s Superlative Chronometer certification (±2 seconds/day accuracy).
Oyster Perpetual: Pastel Perfection
Three new matt lacquered dials—Pistachio, Beige, and Lavender—join the Oyster Perpetual lineup in 28mm, 36mm, and 41mm sizes. The Oyster Perpetual 41 also receives a slimmer Oysterclasp and redesigned case, offering a fresh take on a classic.
Perpetual 1908: A Sleek Gold Statement
The 1908 now features a new “Settimo” bracelet in 18 ct yellow gold, composed of seven small polished links for a refined shimmer. It includes a concealed Crownclasp, mirroring the Land-Dweller’s design.
Datejust 31: A Bold Ombré Twist
Rolex has introduced a red ombré dial—previously exclusive to the Day-Date—for the Datejust 31 in 18 ct yellow gold. The gradient transitions from a vibrant center to a deep black edge, complemented by a diamond-set bezel and President bracelet.
Standout Dials for Daytona, Sky-Dweller & GMT-Master II
Daytona Ref. 126518LN: A Tiffany-blue (Turquoise) dial is expected to drive secondary market demand, despite its AUD$59,000 retail price.
Sky-Dweller: A vibrant green dial in 18 ct yellow gold with a fluted bezel and Jubilee bracelet (AUD$88,800).
GMT-Master II: The surprise of the show: a tiger iron dial, a natural stone blend of tiger’s eye, red jasper, and hematite.
With a mix of technical prowess and bold aesthetics, Rolex’s 2025 collection balances tradition with daring innovation. Whether it’s the Land-Dweller’s engineering or the Daytona’s Tiffany-blue allure, there’s something for every collector.
