Apple has officially rolled out the watchOS 11.5 update for Apple Watch users, introducing a range of new features, enhancements, and a key bug fix. The release arrives just weeks ahead of the company’s highly anticipated Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), where watchOS 12 is expected to be unveiled.
New Pride Harmony Watch Face Highlights Update
A standout feature of watchOS 11.5 is the introduction of the new Pride Harmony watch face. In line with Apple’s annual tradition of celebrating Pride Month, the company continues its commitment to inclusivity with a vibrant new design. The watch face is fully compatible with the Pride-themed wallpapers introduced in the latest iOS 18.5 and iPadOS 18.5 updates, offering a unified aesthetic across Apple devices.
Additionally, the new watch face takes advantage of the enhanced always-on display capabilities available on the Apple Watch Series 10. Users can now view a moving second hand even when the display is dimmed, ensuring both style and function are preserved in low-power mode.
Expanded Apple TV Integration and Bug Fixes
With this update, Apple Watch users can now make purchases directly from the Apple TV app — including when using third-party devices — expanding the utility of the watch within the broader Apple ecosystem.
watchOS 11.5 also addresses a known issue where the iPhone would sometimes fail to notify users when their Apple Watch battery had reached a full charge. The fix enhances device coordination and user awareness of battery status.
Compatibility and Availability
The update is available for Apple Watch Series 6 and later models. To install watchOS 11.5, users must connect their compatible Apple Watch to an iPhone.
With watchOS 11.5, Apple continues to refine the smartwatch experience while setting the stage for bigger changes expected with the launch of watchOS 12 at WWDC in June.
