Rising rapper Latto is turning heads with an ultra-rare Cartier Crash Watch in her latest music video for “Somebody.” The limited-edition rose gold and diamond timepiece adds a touch of luxury to the visual, which showcases Latto enjoying life in Jamaica.
Directed by her sister Brooklyn Nikole, the video also features a cameo from renowned Jamaican DJ Popcaan, adding an authentic island vibe to the energetic scenes.
“Somebody” marks Latto’s first solo release since dropping her 2024 album Sugar Honey Iced Tea. The track creatively samples Aaliyah’s classic “Are You That Somebody?” with Latto rapping the catchy hook, “I really need somebody / Tell me you’re that somebody.”
Recently, Latto addressed and dispelled pregnancy rumors on Instagram after flaunting a sparkling Cartier bracelet gifted to her on Mother’s Day. While getting her hair done, she confronted the speculation head-on, asking, “Do it look like I got motherfucking kids?” She clarified that fans likely misread her mood and physical state, attributing the misunderstanding to her menstrual cycle and joking about “dragging that motherfucking wagon.”
Earlier this year, Latto opened up to Complex about collaborating with Playboi Carti on the remix of her hit “Blick Sum.” Recording at the same studio sparked their meeting, and upon sharing the song, Carti immediately expressed interest. “I took my second verse off so quick,” Latto revealed, highlighting the smooth creative process.
With “Somebody,” Latto continues to blend her dynamic style with high fashion and island influences, further establishing her growing presence in the music scene.
