Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has officially unveiled its latest smartphone lineup, the Redmi K80 series, alongside two new wearable devices—the Redmi Watch 5 and Redmi Buds 6 Pro.
The Redmi Watch 5 succeeds last year’s Redmi Watch 4, featuring a larger 2.07-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,500 nits. Xiaomi has reduced the bezels while maintaining a 60Hz refresh rate. The smartwatch sports an aluminum frame and a metal dial for navigation.
Notably, the Watch 5 debuts with Xiaomi HyperOS 2 pre-installed. An eSIM variant is also available, enabling calls and messaging on supported networks.
Health and fitness tracking has been enhanced, with Xiaomi claiming 97.1% accuracy for its new heart-rate sensor. The watch also includes blood oxygen monitoring, sleep tracking, stress analysis, and built-in GNSS for precise location data during workouts.
Powering the device is a 550mAh battery, offering up to 24 days of typical use or 12 days with the Always-On Display active.
Redmi Buds 6 Pro Feature Hybrid Driver Setup
The Redmi Buds 6 Pro introduce a dual-driver system, combining 11mm titanium-coated dynamic drivers with 6.7mm piezoelectric ceramic drivers for enhanced audio performance.
Xiaomi has yet to disclose additional details on pricing and availability for the Buds 6 Pro, as well as full specifications for the Redmi K80 series.
Stay tuned for further updates on Redmi’s latest product lineup.
