However, some users have expressed disappointment that the update includes the March 2025 security patch, given that it is being released well into May. A more up-to-date May 2025 security patch could have been a more logical inclusion at this stage.
Galaxy Watch 4 owners can check for the update by navigating to the Galaxy Wearable app on their smartphone, then going to Watch Settings » Watch Software Update » Download and Install.
This update could potentially be the last major software release for the Galaxy Watch 4 series, as future updates may be limited to minor improvements. However, Samsung has not yet confirmed whether the anticipated Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch update will be rolled out to these smartwatches, as its release may depend on the stability of the update during its testing phase.
