Hettich, the renowned jeweler celebrating its 125th anniversary, has unveiled a new flagship store in St Helier, Jersey, reinforcing its position as the exclusive retailer of Rolex and Patek Philippe in the Channel Islands.
Located at 2-4 King Street, the two-storey Art Deco building—vacant since 2020—has undergone a meticulous restoration, preserving its original architectural charm. The grand reopening on February 1 introduced a striking spiral staircase connecting the floors, enhancing the luxury shopping experience.
The ground floor is dedicated to Patek Philippe and Rolex, featuring a VIP lounge, service center, and bar. Meanwhile, the first floor showcases an elegant jewelry collection, including new luxury brands. Hettich’s original store at 1 King Street is also undergoing a subtle refurbishment, with plans to introduce an exclusive Cartier space.
Despite Jersey’s strong GDP per capita of £55,910—surpassing the UK average but trailing behind London—St Helier has faced declining retail activity, leaving several storefronts empty. However, Hettich remains optimistic about the town’s revival.
“We believe in St Helier’s future as a vibrant retail hub and Jersey’s enduring appeal,” said Jeffrey Chinn, Hettich’s managing director. “It’s an honor to play such a pivotal role in the island’s luxury market.”
With two prime locations now under its ownership, Hettich aims to elevate Jersey’s retail landscape, offering unparalleled service and reinforcing its legacy as a cornerstone of the island’s luxury industry.
