Xiaomi is reportedly developing a more compact version of its Watch S4 smartwatch, dubbed the Xiaomi Watch S4 41mm, following the recent release of its 15th-anniversary edition featuring the self-developed Xring T1 4G chipset.
The original Watch S4 debuted in China in October 2024, with a global version arriving in March 2025. While the Chinese market offers both Bluetooth and eSIM variants, international buyers only have access to the Bluetooth model. Last month, Xiaomi unveiled a special 15th-anniversary edition of the Watch S4, marking its first use of the in-house Xring T1 chipset.
Certification Hints at Smaller Design
According to leaks from Digital Chat Station, the Watch S4 41mm (model M2502W1) has been certified in China. This contrasts with the standard S4 (M2425W1), eSIM model (M2424W1), and the anniversary edition (M2426W1).
While Xiaomi has not confirmed whether the 41mm variant will include the Xring T1 chip, its name suggests a downsized version of the original 47.3mm case, which may appeal to users with smaller wrists.
Expected Features and Potential Trade-offs
Though full specifications remain undisclosed, the 41mm model is likely to feature:
- A smaller display
- Reduced battery capacity, potentially shortening battery life
- Possible new color options
It remains unclear whether an eSIM variant with the Xring T1 chip will be available.
Launch Timeline and Pricing
The Watch S4 41mm is currently listed on Amazon Germany for €139.28 and may launch alongside the Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro 12.5 and a special edition Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
