Tech outlet Android Headline published renders on June 12 showcasing Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025 smartwatches. The designs confirm the brand will maintain the “squircle” (square-rounded) shape introduced with 2024’s Galaxy Watch Ultra. All three models are expected to debut in July 2025.
Classic and Ultra Models Share Key Features
The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025 share visual similarities, though the Classic variant distinguishes itself with a thicker bezel featuring rotating scale markings. Both models include the Quick Button, first introduced on last year’s Ultra edition.
Samsung’s 2025 Ultra iteration will emphasize a new blue “hero” colorway, paired with a matching Marine band—a departure from 2024’s orange and dark gray options. This blue hue is reportedly part of Samsung’s broader 2025 design language, already spotted in leaks of the Galaxy S25 series.
Base Model Offers Subtler Updates
The standard Galaxy Watch 8 retains the squircle design but with less pronounced styling compared to its premium counterparts. Like its predecessor, the Galaxy Watch 7, it is expected to launch in 40mm and 44mm size variants.
