Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Redmi Watch Move in India, positioning it as an affordable yet feature-rich smartwatch. The device boasts an AMOLED display, extended battery life, and a competitive price tag, making it an attractive option in the budget wearable segment.
Display and Design
The Redmi Watch Move features a 1.85-inch rectangular AMOLED screen with a resolution of 390 x 450 pixels and 600 nits peak brightness, which Xiaomi claims is the best in its category. The company also highlights the display’s smooth performance, calling it the “segment’s smoothest.”
With a 10.8mm thickness and weighing just 25 grams (39 grams with strap), the watch is designed for comfort. It includes a functional crown button and comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Performance and Battery Life
Powered by a 300mAh battery, the Redmi Watch Move promises up to 14 days of typical usage on a single charge. However, enabling the Always-On Display (AOD) reduces battery life to five days. The device runs on HyperOS, optimizing power efficiency.
Health and fitness tracking includes heart rate monitoring (97% accuracy), SpO2 measurement, stress tracking, and sleep analysis. It also supports 140+ sports modes, with auto-detection for seven activities.
Localized Features and Pricing
Targeting the Indian market, the watch offers Hindi language support and includes festive-themed watch faces inspired by local traditions. Users can choose from over 200 watch face options, with most supporting AOD.
The Redmi Watch Move is priced at INR 1,999 (~$25/€23) and comes in four color variants: Silver Sprint, Black Drift, Blue Blaze, and Gold Rush. Pre-orders begin on April 24 at 12 PM IST via mi.com and Flipkart.
With its blend of affordability and functionality, the Redmi Watch Move aims to stand out in India’s competitive budget smartwatch market.
