Ulysse Nardin claims the Diver Air is the lightest mechanical dive watch ever created. Its featherlight construction—46 grams for the case alone, or 52 grams with the fabric strap—is achieved through eco-conscious materials, including:
- Recycled carbon fiber
- Recycled titanium
- Nylo-Foil, derived from upcycled fishing nets
Despite its minimal weight, the 44mm case delivers exceptional durability, withstanding pressures of up to 20 bar (200 meters).
The Skeletonized Caliber UN-374 Movement
Central to the watch’s lightweight yet robust design is the newly developed Caliber UN-374, an intricately skeletonized movement shaped like an X. The design philosophy was to eliminate excess material while maintaining structural integrity—a goal successfully realized.
