Richard Mille is kicking off 2025 with a bold lineup of avant-garde timepieces, reaffirming its reputation for cutting-edge materials, audacious designs, and uncompromising movements. The latest releases include collaborations with Ferrari, architectural-inspired novelties, and record-breaking sapphire cases—all pushing the boundaries of haute horlogerie.
RM 72-01 “Leclerc”: A Monaco-Inspired Chronograph
Designed in partnership with Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc, the RM 72-01 “Leclerc” pays homage to his Monégasque roots with a vibrant red-and-white color scheme. The Quartz TPT case features a bright white finish accented by bold red stripes and a crown shaped like an F1 tire.
Powered by Richard Mille’s first in-house flyback chronograph movement (CRMC-1), the watch includes 30-minute and 24-hour counters, a function selector, and a 50-hour power reserve. Limited to 150 pieces, it retails at $330,000. Leclerc has already been spotted wearing the model, which is now being delivered to select clients.
RM 75-01 Flying Tourbillon Sapphire: Transparency Redefined
In a first for the brand, the RM 75-01 features a fully sapphire case—bezel, caseband, and back—requiring over 1,000 hours of machining. Offered in three variants (clear, blue, and lilac sapphire), the design draws inspiration from gothic architecture and ocean waves.
The manually wound Caliber RM75-01 boasts a flying tourbillon, a skeletonized gold-and-titanium movement, and a 65-hour power reserve. Prices start at 2,258,000 for the lilac edition.
RM 43-01 Ferrari Collaboration: A Horological Beast
Following the RM UP-01 Ferrari, Richard Mille’s latest partnership with the Italian marque delivers the RM 43-01 Tourbillon Split-Seconds Chronograph Ferrari. Limited to 150 pieces (75 in titanium, 75 in Carbon TPT), it combines a tourbillon, split-seconds chronograph, and torque indicators in a 43mm case inspired by Ferrari’s 499P race car.
Julien Boillat, Richard Mille’s casing director, describes the titanium model as embodying a “gentleman driver” ethos, while the carbon version exudes “high-octane attitude.” Prices range from 1,535,000.
RM 74-02 in Gold Quartz TPT: A Luminous Innovation
The RM 74-02 Automatic Tourbillon debuts a new Gold Quartz TPT case, blending 22k gold leaf with translucent quartz fibers for a shimmering effect. The movement features a variable-geometry rotor and a 50-hour power reserve.
Priced at 660,000 (bracelet), it’s a testament to Richard Mille’s material experimentation.
RM 16-02: Brutalist Minimalism
Inspired by Brutalist architecture, the ultra-thin RM 16-02 (just 9.5mm thick) comes in titanium or a first-ever Terracotta Quartz TPT case. The latter’s warm hue is achieved through a proprietary layering process. Water-resistant to 30 meters, it’s a study in ergonomic precision.
