Apple is gearing up for its annual Apple Watch fitness challenge in honor of Global Running Day, set for June 4. The tech giant is encouraging users to complete a 5K (3.1-mile) run using any app that syncs with Apple Health.
Participants who log their run will unlock an exclusive 2025 Global Running Day Challenge trophy in the Fitness app, along with four animated stickers for use in iOS messages. The event follows the same structure as last year’s challenge, reinforcing Apple’s commitment to promoting physical activity through its wearable technology.
Global Running Day, observed on the first Wednesday of June, serves as a worldwide celebration of running. Apple’s virtual challenge provides an engaging way for users to join the movement while earning digital rewards.
