IWC Schaffhausen has launched the Pilot’s Watch Mark XX Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team, a limited-edition timepiece commemorating its partnership with the championship-winning motorsport team. Since 2013, the Swiss watchmaker has collaborated with Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS, blending haute horology with cutting-edge automotive engineering. This marks the second official team watch created by IWC, reinforcing their shared dedication to precision, performance, and bold design.
Robust Titanium Construction
Crafted from grade 5 titanium, the 40mm case combines durability with lightweight comfort—a material favored in high-stress automotive components like engine valves. The sandblasted finish lends a sleek, matte-gray aesthetic, complementing the stark black dial. With 100-meter water resistance and a slim 10.6mm profile, the watch balances ruggedness with everyday wearability.
Signature Racing Accents
True to its motorsport inspiration, the watch features Petronas green numerals, indices, and hands, coated with Superluminova for optimal visibility in low light. A matching green date wheel and a closed caseback engraved with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS logo complete the racing-inspired details.
High-Performance Movement
Powering the watch is IWC’s in-house 32111 caliber, a self-winding movement with a 28,800 vph frequency and a remarkable 120-hour power reserve. The movement ensures precision timekeeping, mirroring the relentless accuracy demanded in Formula 1.
Customizable Strap System
The timepiece comes fitted with a Petronas green rubber strap, equipped with IWC’s EasX-CHANGE system for quick customization. This feature allows wearers to swap straps effortlessly, adapting the watch to both track and casual settings.
