Casio has announced the release of a new limited edition Oceanus Manta watch, model OCW-S6000PB-7AJF, scheduled to hit the market in June 2025. Priced at ¥385,000 (approximately $2,700), the timepiece will be available in a strict run of 600 units worldwide.
Staying true to the iconic Manta design, this edition introduces significant enhancements, most notably its sapphire glass bezel. Expertly crafted with 12 outer facets and 60 intricate concave cuts, the bezel reflects light dynamically from different angles. Casio employs advanced coating techniques including blue vapor deposition on the top and bottom, platinum gradation vapor deposition on the sides, and blue sputtering on vertical surfaces, producing a vibrant, shifting effect that symbolizes the meeting line between sea and sky.
The dial showcases Casio’s innovative in-dial solar charging technology, which powers the watch through its three sub-dials, allowing the primary dial to maintain a bright white appearance. The sub-dials are coated with a translucent blue finish, complemented by a blue sputtered 12 o’clock index and an anodized blue second hand, creating a crisp contrast of blue and white tones. Laser-engraved city codes adorn the inner dial, while most hour markers feature a refined silver plating.
Constructed with a lightweight 10.3mm-thick titanium case treated with titanium carbide, the watch offers enhanced durability, wear resistance, and a sophisticated color tone. The titanium bracelet incorporates arrow-shaped H links with polished center links, enhanced by Zaratsu polishing for an exceptionally smooth finish.
Notably, Casio has eliminated the outer titanium bezel frame to emphasize the edge-to-edge sapphire glass design. The case back bears a laser-engraved unique serial number, underscoring the exclusivity of each unit, which is also presented in a specially designed box.
