Bandbreite, the popular app for tracking Apple Watch bands, has released a major update—version 2.0—bringing over 30 new features and improvements aimed at enhancing the user experience for collectors.
Now available for iPhone and iPad, Bandbreite 2.0 introduces a redesigned logbook, improved iCloud synchronization, more powerful search tools, and expanded statistics for users’ collections. The app allows enthusiasts to explore and catalog more than 840 official Apple Watch bands, searchable by style, color, and release date.
The update also brings a range of new filtering and sorting capabilities, making it easier to manage extensive collections. One of the most significant changes in version 2.0 is a shift in the app’s pricing model. After four years as a free app, Bandbreite now requires a one-time payment of $7.49 for users who wish to manage more than five bands.
Developer Filip Chudzinski said the move is necessary to ensure the app’s long-term sustainability. Existing users who already track more than five bands can continue using all features but must pay the fee to add additional bands to their collection.
Chudzinski also revealed that an updated version for macOS is currently in development, and a companion app for the Apple Watch is set to return in the near future.
Originally launched in 2020 as a personal project, Bandbreite has grown into a leading tool among Apple Watch band collectors worldwide.
