Swiss luxury watchmaker H. Moser & Cie. has introduced two new limited-edition timepieces in collaboration with Alpine Motorsports, just in time for the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix. The dynamic duo—the Streamliner Alpine Drivers Edition and the Streamliner Alpine Mechanics Edition—blends haute horology with motorsport-inspired design. Only 200 sets will be produced, priced at $70,000 per pair.
Streamliner Alpine Drivers Edition: A Skeletonized Chronograph
The 42.3 mm Streamliner Alpine Drivers Edition features a skeletonized dial that showcases the HMC 700 movement, based on the AgenGraphe chronograph caliber. Unlike traditional models, this watch reveals the self-winding rotor typically hidden beneath the dial. The design pays homage to Alpine’s racing heritage, with V-shaped bridges resembling triangulated suspensions and a dial pattern inspired by the A110 wheel rim.
Flipping the watch reveals a movement designed to evoke a driver’s helmet, while the exterior sports a blue PVD-coated stainless-steel case and a rubber strap for a sporty yet refined aesthetic.
Streamliner Alpine Mechanics Edition: A Smartwatch First for Moser
Breaking new ground for the brand, the Streamliner Alpine Mechanics Edition is H. Moser & Cie.’s first-ever smartwatch. Designed for the fast-paced world of Formula 1, it includes:
- GMT function with country selector
- Split-seconds chronograph
- Perpetual calendar
- F1 mode featuring countdown timers and live team alerts
Despite its high-tech capabilities, the watch retains classic Moser styling with a steel Streamliner case, blue rubber strap, and a signature Funky Blue fumé dial. Developed in partnership with Sequent, the hybrid analog-digital movement offers a 12-month power reserve in time-only mode or six Grand Prix weekends in connected mode.
A Growing Partnership with Alpine Motorsports
H. Moser & Cie. confirmed that this collaboration is just the beginning of its partnership with Alpine Motorsports, hinting at future projects.
The brand is no stranger to sports-themed watches. Last year, it launched the Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton at the Miami Grand Prix, complete with a pink strap. Athletes have also embraced Moser’s designs—Philadelphia Eagles’ Saquon Barkley wore an Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Vantablack at this year’s Met Gala. With the Spanish Grand Prix underway, it wouldn’t be surprising to see these new Streamliners on the wrists of drivers and fans alike.
